Ruth Langsford took to Instagram last night to thank her followers for their “lovely comments” following her emotional appearance on Play Your Cards Right on Saturday night.
The 60-year-old TV star was seen in floods of tears when she won £30,000 for an Alzheimer’s charity during an appearance on the game show with husband Eamonn Holmes, also 60.
Ruth posted a still from Alan Carr’s Epic Gameshow on the picture-sharing site in view of her 863,000 followers.
Alongside the image, she wrote: “Thank you for all your lovely comments about our appearance on Play Your Cards Right on @itv on Saturday night.”
The new ITV show, which debuted on Saturday, sees comdidian Alan host some of the best-loved game shows from over the years including Strike it Lucky, Bullseye and Play Your Cards Right, which originally starred the late Sir Bruce Forsyth.
Ruth was overcome with emotion after beating three celebrity couples to win the jackpot.
The This Morning couple faced Chris Ramsey and his wife Rosie, Ore Oduba and his wife Portia, and Martine McCutcheon and her husband Jack McManus in the competition.
Taking home the prize money for their chosen charity – The Alzheimer’s Society.
Revealing the details of her outfit online, the presenter went on to say: “Lots of you asking where my pink jacket is from…. @foreveruniqueofficial #whatiwore.”
Following Ruth and Eamonn’s television appearance, the mum-of-one thanked her supportive husband for always being by her side.
