Holly Willoughby, 39, shared a rare photograph from her son’s first birthday on social media last night after learning that Arsenal mascot Gunnersaurus has been released by the club. The This Morning host, who recently revealed her husband Dan Baldwin is a huge fan of the London football team, said the mascot was a “hero” in their household.

Mum-of-three Holly, who shares children Harry, 11, Belle, nine, and Chester, six, with TV producer Dan, informed her 6.9 million Instagram followers that the character had been the star of the show at her eldest son’s birthday party a decade ago.

She then posted a rare picture from the event online.

In the social media snap, Holly could be seen cuddling up to Gunnersaurus in a pretty white dress with a tiara on her head.

She had bare feet and held a drink in her hand as she smiled for the camera.

Instagram followers and fans took to the comments section to share their thoughts on the matter.

“Absolute tragedy. He has been part of our lives for years. Can’t the players donate a small part of vast wages to keep him going?” one follower wrote next to the post.

“Gunnersaurus has to stay, hoping that the players and go fund me can contribute enough to keep him alive for all the junior gunners!” another added.

A third fan joked: “Ooo maybe This Morning could use him on set…what job can he do with his tiny arms?!”

Just last week, Holly revealed that her youngest son was not an Arsenal fan like his dad and big brother.

The presenter posted a picture of Chester with his Chelsea-themed birthday cake to mark his sixth birthday and joked about the football rivalry at home.

“If anyone knows my @arsenal loving husband you’ll know how much this Cake for Chesters birthday is killing him…” the ITV star told her fans.

“I blame you entirely @franklampard …However that’s our boy all over… marching to the beat of his own drum,” she added tagging Chelsea head coach Frank Lampard into the post.
