Dragon’s Den star Sara Davies, 36, is the latest addition to the BBC line-up, alongside fellow investors Deborah Meaden, Peter Jones, Tej Lalvani and Touker Souleyman. The buisnesswoman has since opened up about the BBC show, as the small-screen star warned there may be a delay with the upcoming series.

The mum-of-two revealed she is “gutted” after being informed filming for the latest series will be pushed back for later this year due to the current social distancing rules.

Just like much of the TV industry, production has had to be halted going forward following the coronavirus pandemic.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, Sara said: “I’m gutted. As you can imagine for me I’ve only done one series from last year. Fabulous and I absolutely loved it.

“I was rearing to get back into filming this year and we started [filming] in April actually.”

In the meantime, the Crafter’s Companion entrepreneur is putting her expertise to good use and joining Mind’s Crafternoon, running tutorials for those who want to try and keep themselves busy.

The initiative has been launched by the mental health charity Mind to keep people occupied while in lockdown.

Speaking about the new initiative, Sara said: “It’s more important now than ever to talk about mental health and the work that Mind is doing to promote positive wellbeing and mental health is crucial.

“People are looking for new ways to escape what’s happening in the outside world and relax, even if it’s just for half an hour, and crafting is the perfect way to do that.”

She continued: “Mind’s Crafternoons are the perfect way to introduce people to this engaging community – it’s going to be really fun!”

Sara will be hosting a fun and relaxing hour-long craft session live on her Facebook page where viewers can do something creative and take time for themselves, whilst helping raise funds for better mental health.

For info on joining Mind’s Crafternoon with Sara Davies on Friday 15 May at 4pm, visit www.mind.org.uk/virtualcrafternoon, or follow Sara on @saradaviescc.
