When it came to casting Mrs Brown’s Boys, it seems Brendan O’Carroll didn’t look far as most of the cast is related to him but how?
Starting off with the writer of the show, Brendan O’Carroll who also plays Agnes Brown the matriarch of the Brown family.
Brendan’s real-life son and daughter Danny and Fiona both have roles within the show.
Danny plays Buster Brady and is also married to co-star Amanda Woods who plays Betty Brown.
Danny and Amanda’s son Jamie, Brendan’s real-life grandson also plays Mrs Brown’s fictional grandson.

“It doesn’t matter, you can be shouting at each other right when you walk through the door, and then as soon as you get on the stage, it’s never ever brought on stage.
She added that after filming is done, they often forget what they had argued about.
Jennifer said: “And by the time you’re finished, you’ve forgotten what you were arguing about.”
Brendan has also recently spoken of how some of his family cast members don’t always agree with Brendan’s ideas for the show.
His son Danny initially expressed concerns when Brendan first pitched the idea of a musical to the cast.
Brendan told Express.co.uk: “When we said we was going to do Mrs Brown’s the musical, Danny was the one who said I think this is a bad idea.
“And then on the opening night, he was the first to put his hand on my shoulder and say, ‘This is the best thing you’ve ever written, it’s the funniest ever’.”
Brendan added: “It’s no harm to have a little bit of doubt in there.”
